The Taylor women's soccer team added a pair of wins to their record over the weekend with wins against Cleary University (3-0) and Cornerstone University (1-0).The Trojans faced off with Cleary on Friday in a match that was one-sided from the start. The Trojans outshot the Cougars 17-1, connecting on three attempts, all from senior Molly Drooger who recorded her second hat-trick of the season in just the third game.
On Saturday, the Trojans added another win against Cornerstone University. Drooger scored the game's lone goal in the 10th minute and the Trojans held on, 1-0.
Goalkeeper Kristiana Griffith owned the net once again, pitching her third shutout in four games with eight saves against Cornerstone. The Trojans remain unbeaten on the season (4-0) and Griffith has only allowed one goal.
The women's soccer team is in action again on Wednesday as they face Trinity Christian University on the road at 4 p.m.
