The Taylor women's soccer team jumped out to a 2-0 record this season with a pair of home wins (2-1, 4-0) over Welcome Weekend.
The Trojans took Friday's home opener in dramatic fashion, winning 2-1 over Madonna University as senior striker Molly Drooger scored both goals for Taylor, including the game-winner in OT in the 90th minute.
In Saturday's contest, senior Christy Dithrich kicked off the scoring for the Trojans on a free kick in the 22nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. From then on, it was the Molly Drooger show as the senior poured in a hat-trick (three goals) including two in the first half and one in the second to seal the deal for the Trojans in a 4-0 victory.
With a pair of wins to jump-start the season, the women's club will be on the road for the next two weeks, beginning with games next Friday against Cleary University at 7 p.m. and Saturday at Cornerstone University at 7 p.m.
