Taylor men's soccer assistant coach Nate Miller has recently stepped down from his position with the team to take the head coaching job at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Mich.
Miller was a four-year starter at midfielder for the Trojans from 2004-2008 while earning All-Conference awards in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. After college, Miller played for the Vikings AA semi-professional soccer league in Chicago, IL.
In his three years as an assistant under head coach Gary Ross, Miller has helped the Trojans to a 40-19-2 record as well as the Mid-Central Conference tournament and regular season championship in the 2011 season.
Nate and his wife Darcy headed to Spring Arbor earlier in the week to meet his new team and continue his coaching career with his first head coaching position. Miller inherits a Cougar club that won the Crossroads League championship last season after knocking out the Trojans in the semi-final round.
Miller was beloved coach, friend and mentor to the Trojan players and will be sorely missed. Coach Ross and the rest of the Trojans' players and staff wish Miller the best of luck in his new opportunity.
