The men's and women's track and field teams kicked off the indoor track season at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational.

Junior Erin price finished 13th in the 40- meter dash with a time of 1:05.80, just five seconds behind the lead runner.
In the women's 800 meter dash three Trojans placed in the top 11. Senior Kelsey Van Housen finished 11th with a time of 2:39.96, freshman Alyssa Hatteberg finished fifth with a time of 2:32.28 and freshman Jane Hawks finished second only three seconds from first with a time of 2:28.20.

The men's team produced three first place finishes, two by freshman Brandon Wilchombe. Wilchombe finished first in the 60-meter dash running it in 6.98 seconds. He was also able to squeeze out a victory in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.33 seconds.
Senior Robert Dickey placed first in the men's long jump. The 6.70-meter jump was good enough for him win narrowly over a freshman from Olivet Nazarene who finished with a 6.69-meter jump.
Sophomore Gage Minnear also placed in this competition jumping 5.88 meters, which was good enough for a 10th place finish.
The track teams will be back in action next Saturday at Taylor for the Taylor Indoor Invitational.
