The men's basketball team lost their first contest of 2013 by a 71-60 deficit to the No. 9 Grace Lancers on Tuesday night.
The Trojans held a slight advantage for the majority of the game aside from a run of 16 unanswered by the Lancers in the second half that proved to be enough in the end.
The Trojans battled back from a 9-0 deficit to start the game and they led 32-28 at the break. Seniors Casey Coons and Tommy Peller got hot early in the second as they each hit three-pointers to extend the Trojan lead to 41-31.
It was then that the Lancers ignited a 16 point run giving them a 47-41 advantage that would hold on until the end.
Peller led the Trojans with 21 points while Coons and Nate Kasper added 14 and 12 respectively.
The Trojans dropped to 12-6 (4-2) on the season and will face No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan on the road Wednesday evening.
